Ready. Write a short sentence.

First use: about 110 MB per direction; German ↔ Hindi about 220 MB per direction. Download starts after confirmation. Browser caching may save later downloads.

Text stays local during translation

Your browser downloads model files from Hugging Face. Your input text is not uploaded for translation.

Recording depends on your browser

With your permission. Browser speech recognition may send audio to its provider. You can type without recording.

For short everyday sentences

Not a verified professional translation. Hindi is experimental; performance on real smartphones is not confirmed.

One sentence
at a time.

For getting to know someone, travelling, or asking a simple question. Short sentences help the model – and the other person.

Download a language model?

Translation then runs on your device. Your browser downloads public model files from Hugging Face. The provider receives technical request data such as your IP address, but not your translation text. There are no API fees; mobile data and your device may have their own costs.

Approximate first download for this direction: 110 MB

Prefer Wi-Fi. Slower devices may need time and additional memory. Browser caching does not guarantee permanent offline use.

Use browser recording?

Your browser’s speech recognition may send microphone audio to the browser provider. We do not control this service. Avoid confidential recordings. You can type instead.
